White Fences
People hide behind white fences
Running to the door with their smiling faces
Going inside to hide the pain
The pain that hides
Behind the white fences
And the smiling faces
People pass we all say ‘OK’
Politely going on with our routine day
Days turn to month, months to years
Only to turn into deep, dark tears
People are hiding behind white fences
Running to the door with their smiling faces
Turning inside to run and hide
As the pain burns inside.
