299/366: Holes To Heaven – The Milky Way
A Milky Way image I shot on a recent trip to Pagosa Springs Colorado in early October. This shot was captured from the patio of our condo and I love how it turned out. I’ve been researching proper colors/tones of the Milky Way and trying to post process as accurate as possible.
I love how in this photo the city lights have dimmed just enough, but you can still see the beautiful lighting and green of the trees to the left of the photo, almost as if the Milky Way is coming out of the trees. Pagosa Springs has a dark sky ordinance which helps keep the light pollution to a minimum. This is mainly for the wildlife, but it helps astronomy photography greatly.
