154/366: Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum
I had the honor of visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum last week on a road trip. I was taken back by all the symbolic structures and the thoughtfulness of the layout and design. This was one of my final photographic captures of the afternoon and I feel it represents the memorial perfectly. The clouds and the water show we are always moving forward, even after tragedy, even after terror, even after hurtful situations. We, as humans, are to always move forward. The reflection of the building represents how we are to reflect on the past, but look to the future. To heal and be healed… to not be shackled by fear, but to live free.I hope you enjoy the photo as much as I enjoyed taking it as a representation of what I learned at the Oklahoma City Memorial.
Photo taken using Lee Filters Big Stopper for an exposure time of 30 seconds
