Milky Way in Colorado

289/366: Origin

With each passing day I am reminded how short this life we live will be. How precious the time we have truly is and how small of a bleep in the galaxy we really are. As I survey and examine this photo of the Milky Way beaming across the crisp Colorado night sky, I take a few moments, close my eyes and breathe. Breathe in for relaxation, breathe in all the blessings of this life and remind myself how beautiful and marvelous this world unequivocally is. No matter the negative – I have this moment, this day, this present – always and I try everyday not to take that for granted.

Photo taken with my Nikon D810 and Nikkor 14-24mm for an exposure time of 25 seconds at f/2.8, ISO 3200 at 14mm.
