173/366: Window Falls
The second waterfall we visited on our hike around Hanging Rock State Park in North Carolina was Window Falls. Window Falls was our favorite stop on the hike and we enjoyed a yummy lunch and some cool water while we waited for the area to clear of people. This was one of the last shots I got at Window Falls and it is one of my favorite. The darkness around the falls makes the silky waterfalls stand out and the plush green adds a sense of vibrance and a ‘rain-forest’ type feel. When I look at this photo I can almost feel the spray of the falls and the cool crisp breeze which was flowing around the waterfall.
This photo was shot using Lee Filters circular polarizer and Big Stopper for an exposure time of 115 seconds at f/8, ISO 100, 15mm.
