Long Exposure of Cliffs at Lake Grapevine

25/365: beam.

This morning when I woke up and saw the clouds, stepped outside and felt the cool breeze, I knew I would have to find some time to make it out to the lake. After several morning appointments, I found the time and was it ever worth the trip. I was able to capture this long exposure shot of the cliffs off Lake Grapevine.

The water was rough and the wind was harsh, but everything came together perfectly for this capture. The camera almost became submerged, but the risk was well worth the end result. The clouds were moving in a north east direction – so I aligned myself facing south west in order to get the clouds to come directly towards to camera, creating spectacular movement in the sky.
