9/365: Ghost Train
I needed to get out and shoot today, but Texas looks very brown and depressing right now and I didn’t feel like shooting landscapes…. I wanted to stick with my love for long exposures – so.. I ventured down to the local train station in Old Town Lewisville to capture this shot I’ve titled ‘Ghost Train.’
It is an extremely windy day, so much so, that I almost didn’t stick around to take this shot. I setup my tripod and camera with a guess at which direction the train would be arriving and departing from – I was right and my timing turned out pretty good. This was the first shot I took as the train pulled in from the South and departed to the North.
This shot reminds me how life keeps moving forward, just because we stop, doesn’t mean time does.
Taken with my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters Big Stopper and Circular Polarizer for an exposure time of 25 seconds at f/8.0, ISO 100 – 14mm.
