Downs and Ups
Life Swings like a pendulum
On its own course of time
No rhyme or reason
Just worries going by

Life slows down
I take a deep breath
Step back
Relax…
.
.
.
Realize
This is all I have
Prioritize and not snap
Love and not like
Engage and not check-out
Be and not just exist

I am a work in progress, my life is a work in progress. Each day I figure out something new, each day I better myself, each day I am me.

I have to remember:

a great leader’s courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position.

I read a quote yesterday…

Success isn’t a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire.

Wait for it..

wait for it…

WOW!

Just imagine going into each project, each vision, each goal with that type of attitude and aspiration. The quote is so right, things to not just get handed to us. We must work hard to accomplish and reach our own definitions and heights of success. We must be focused and passionate each day, burning to reach success, otherwise really what is the point?

Each of us has a different definition of success. For some, it maybe owning a company or writing a book; for others, success is simply going to work each day and keeping the a job. However you define success, do not let others definition of success ruin your vision, your passion or let others define success for you. We were each given a purpose in life, how we fulfill it is our OWN destiny!

What inspires you?

is it music in general? a particular song? a clear blue crisp sky? the wind in your face? feeling the sand on your toes as you walk across a beautiful white beach? children? homeless people? the joy of giving? the need to do more in life…

Everyone is inspired by something in life, that is what gives us all the will to get up each morning and move forward with life. Be it fact, that each individual is inspired at different levels and different means is what makes us all different and unique. In the same light, inspiration can come from different sources at different moments during the day for different reasons. This morning on my commute into work while listening to Sirius Satellite Radio station Spirit 66, I was inspired by a song titled “Set the World on Fire” by Britt Nicole.

I was thinking about my vision for the future and all my Dear Son has been through in his little three years of life before we got him. As I was thinking the thought came into my head, ‘I want to help hungry children.’ Not even 5 seconds after that thought came into my mind the following verse played from the above listed song

I wanna feed the hungry children
And reach across the farthest land
And tell the broken there is healing
And mercy in the Father’s hands

What an amazing inspiration and message for my morning commute. I believe I am on the right track in my search and I am being lead down the path I am suppose to be. Do I know if this is the answer? No – only time will tell.

everyone has a different definition of the word vision. some i am sure see it as the exact meaning of “seeing through ones eyes.” others possibly can define it as dreams or supernatural realms they have experienced. still more can see it as a future tense word that involves present action. this current action requiring soul seeking, planning and potentially risk.

i am seeking the latter definition of vision.

as i researched a ‘risk’ quote to add to this post the theme that i continued to see repeated was the greatest risk of all in life is the risk of “doing nothing.” this was quite eye-opening as here one of my greatest struggle is with risk. when in reality am i really faulting myself and my family for not pushing for my dreams and doing ‘nothing?’

today i welcome you all to my search for vision, passion and greater knowledge. Up until today this search was only shared between select individuals and close friends whom have now urged me to extend my vision and passion with the world. By doing this I hope to widen my frame of knowledge and ideas and grow my passion and vision for life even greater.

Key Questions
What drives you to get up every morning?
Do you have a passion that you never pursued?
When you drive to work in the morning in traffic do you let people over in front of you?
Do you get mad if you have to sit in traffic?
What do you day dream about?
If you could have one job in the world without any limitations what would it be?
